Mellett, Anne ‘Tina’

April 20, 1944 – June 27, 2022

Anne ‘Tina’ M. (Mulkern) Mellett, a resident of Dedham, and formerly of Jamaica Plain and Dorchester, passed away on June 27, 2022 at the age of 78. 

Tina was born in Boston on April 20th, 1944. She worked as an accountant for several insurance companies, and was very talented in the art of crafting. She greatly enjoyed craft shows, sewing, teaching the art of ceramics and especially enjoyed everything Disney.

Tina was the cherished wife of Joseph C. Sr, and loving mother of Joseph C. Mellett Jr. and his wife Lauren of Walpole, Shaun E. Mellett and his wife Celeste of Quincy, and Erin A. Mellett and her fiancée Dennis Love of Hingham. She was the beloved grandmother of Patrick J. Allen of Manchester, NH, and the sister of Kevin Mulkern of Las Vegas, and the late John Mulkern.  She was also the loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham, on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 8:30 AM before going to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St, Dedham, for her funeral mass at 10AM.  Relatives and friends are also invited to attend Tina’s burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne which will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 12:45PM.     My Auntie Tina I will miss u terribly and want to thank you for all the advice and help throughout the years and for all your support for the Veterans by attending all the craft show events to help out. I will miss u for our brain tumor walks as u never missed one in memory of your niece Liz. Love you auntie rest in peace will miss you

    It is so fitting that Joe and Tina will be laid to rest together. This is how they did everything for the 40 plus years we have called them our best friends. Family was most important to them and we were honored to be a part of theirs. Though they will be missed they left all of us with wonderful memories.
