Garry Richard Nelligan, a resident of Dedham, died Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Care Dimensions Hospice Home in Lincoln. He was 59. Garry was born June 17, 1963 in Milton, Massachusetts, the son of Paul David and Patricia Lorraine (Obuchon) Nelligan. He grew up in Dedham and enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1980 and served until his honorable discharge in 1983. Garry owned and operated his own appliance repair business. He was an avid reader and enjoyed old movies, and keeping himself fit by working out. Garry was a Boston sports fan who would take every opportunity to talk sports. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mikell Darby (Dunn) Nelligan; his sons, Patrick David, and his wife Mary, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and Sean Michael, and his wife Sarah, of New Bedford; his parents, Paul David, and Patricia Lorraine (Obuchon) Nelligan of Dedham; and his sister, Carol A. Hanna, and her husband Richard, of Dedham. Gary was the proud Papa of Baxter and Luke Nelligan. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, August 25th from 4 to 8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham with Military Honors at 4 o clock. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 would be appreciated.
