Hoffman, Charles N.

Charles Neale Hoffman, a longtime resident of Dedham, died Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Brush Hill Healthcare Center in Milton. He was 74. Charles was born March 5, 1948 in Newton, Massachusetts, a son of Emmett Charles and June (Neale) Hoffman. He worked as a welder. Charles is survived by his wife, Patricia M. (Wells); his daughter, Heather Briggs, and her husband Scott, of Medfield; his two grandchildren, Ava and Mason Briggs; his brother, Robert Hoffman of Georgia; and his three sisters, Donna Hoffman of Georgia, Jane Hoffman of Washington, DC, and Maryellen Hoffman of Pennsylvania. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to Gentiva Hospice, 130 Rumford Avenue, Suite 211, Auburndale, MA 02466 would be appreciated.

    Tucky was a good friend for many, many years. (Since Dedham Junior High)
    He almost always had a smile on his face. He was a very talented fabricator of race cars and whatever needed to be built. Terrible ending for him.

    So sorry to hear of Tucky’s passing. I learned a lot from him working on the “73” back in the early 70’s. He was such a talented fabricator, welder, designer, and technician. Rest in peace.

    Used to sell auto parts to tuck met almost every modified driver in the 80’s at his shop good friend for 40 yrs

    Knew Tuck since elementary school years. We had a lot of good times growing up right through high school and beyond. I will remember those times.

    I knew Tuck for over 35 years. He was one of the greatest guys in the world. Sorry to hear that he was sick and of his passing.
