Dunn, Frances

Frances (Fran) Angela (Cozenza) Dunn, a resident of Dedham, died peacefully on Friday November 17, 2023 with her son and granddaughter by her side. She was 92. Frances was born in Malden on July 13, 1931, and was the daughter of Philip and Adelina Cozenza, immigrants from Italy. Fran was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, George H. Dunn

Fran is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Liz) A. Dunn of Honolulu, HI; her son Stephen J. Dunn and his wife Anne of Kingston, MA, beloved grandchildren Sarah Fay Dunn of Weymouth and Matthew J. Dunn of Cambridge and predeceased her sister Maria Esther Cosenza Chugh and husband Lal Chugh of Peabody

Fran poured her heart and soul into raising her family and everything she did in life, if it was worth doing it was done 100%! After her family was raised, Fran worked different companies as she reentered the work force and retired from Fay Humphrey Insurance. Once retired, Fran enjoyed her friends at the Dedham Art Association and the many different groups at St. Mary’s. Fran so much appreciated all her neighbors who were so kind and helpful to her, she very much appreciated each one of them.

In lieu of flowers/donations, be kind to everyone you meet and make them smile.

I’m so saddened to hear of Fran’s passing. I always loved seeing her and talking to her, she had such a great sense of humor, a beautiful lady. May she rest in the sweetest of peace. My deepest sympathies to you Stephen n Liz and family

I just became aware of Fran’s passing. I actually saw it posted in the Dedham Times. Fran had such an amazing way of getting a point across. She always had a remark about any subject, good or bad. Fran would hold a conversation, usually never smiling, until she got her point across. She was a hoot to talk and listen to. I saw her mostly with Marge Timons or at St. Mary’s. She is definitely gong to missed. Blessings and prayers for you and your family Fran. With deepest sympathies,
    Charlie & Celia
