Mary Ringwalt Woodworth of Westwood, died Friday, Jan 22nd at the Stanley

Tippett Home in Needham.  She was 90.  Mary was born Nov. 26, 1919 in Yonkers, N.Y.  the daughter of Joseph Garneau Ringwalt and Marguerite Stowitts Ringwalt.  Mary has lived in Dover, Dedham and Westwood since 1952.  She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Vernon Woodworth Jr. who died in 2006 after 58 years of marriage.  She is survived by four children she loved deeply; Margot Woodworth and her husband William Seefeld,  A. Vernon Woodworth and his wife Alyson Haley, Katie Woodworth and her husband George Kocur and Mary Woodworth Provosty and her husband Will Batstone. Mary also leaves behind the grandchildren and great grandchildren she treasured: Lindsey and Avery Seefeld, Jonathan Woodworth, Joseph, David and Daniel Houpt, and Amiel, Isabelle, and Nathalie Provosty and great granddaughters Elodie and Simone Provosty.  She was a graduate of The Dana Hall School and Sarah Lawrence College.  She volunteered for many organizations over her lifetime including the Officers Service Committee in NYC during World War II, WGBH and the Franklin Park Zoo. She was an accomplished water color artist  and showed her work in various Boston locations, as well as Utah and Maine.  She was a member of the Wellesley society of Artists and the Needham Art Association.  Mary was a loving and creative woman who was known for her radiant smile, watercolor paintings of the Maine coast, hand-knit sweaters, and intricate needlepoint.  Her friends, family and community will miss her strength, her compassion, and her empathy.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 59 Court Street, Dedham, MA.  Private interment will be in Walnut Hills Cemetery in Brookline.  In lieu of flowers please honor her memory with a contribution to the Fund for Sarah Lawrence, Sarah Lawrence Colle, 1 Mead Way, Bronxville, NY 10708.
