We knew Barbara as “Cookie” and always felt very comfortable around her. She was the type of person that made you feel as if you were a long lost friend. What a great couple that she and Carman made. Great people. God bless them both.

Barbara was my late mother’s penfriend from schooldays. They kept in touch every year for all of their lives and although they never met I was privileged to be made welcome in their home when on a holiday in Boston.
My mother(in uk) treasured all of Barbara’s letters and spoke very fondly of her.

Having been fortunate enough to have “Cookie” as my favorite Aunt for my whole life I am very sad today. A wonderful, honest, loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. We will cherish her memories. We love you very much. God bless you.

My fondest memory of your mom is all the times that she would call my mom Marie and they would be on the phone for hours laughing hysterically. Cookie was a piece of work. Her humor and sarcasm was fantastic. I Can Only Imagine what heaven is like now with all of them up there. My thoughts and prayers are with you Charlie and Paul and the rest of your family. I pray she is resting in peace. God bless you Cookie
