Macari, J. David

J. David Macari, a resident of Foxboro for over 20 years, and formerly of Norwood, died Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was 71.  David was born in Norwood, Massachusetts, a son of the late Celso and Annie (Govoni) Macari. He graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1956. He joined the United States Navy in March of 1956 and was discharged in May of 1958. David was a former member of the Mansfield Elks Lodge and was a cook for the Sharon Country Club for 8 years until he retired. He is survived by his children Roxanne Y.  Allen, and her husband William , of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, James “Jim” D. Macari of Braintree, and Michelle L. Mucciaccio, and her husband Thomas, of Mansfield; his sister Maryann Maire, and her husband Joseph, of Haymarket, Virginia;  and his grandchildren Jennifer Barger and Lindsay Barger. He is also survived by his great grandson Nathaniel Silva and many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, February 2nd from 4-8 pm at Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood. Funeral services Wednesday February 3rd at the First Baptist Church of Westwood, 808 High Street, Westwood. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to  Disabled American Veterans, Department of Massachusetts, Room 546 State House, Boston, MA. 02133-1042.
