Dear Carol. Tom, Trintje and Nicky,
I will try to send a proper note but I just wanted to say that I loved your mother and that the picture on this page is how I remembered her.She hd a long and fruitful life and I am glad she had a peaceful passing.. She was my first friend in Dedham since she came to call in her white gloves and hat when the living room on High St. was still full of packing boxes. We started our friendship there and then and of course had a common interest in our alma mater, Vassar. We will miss the service , but wish to express condolences to all of you.

    TO GUSTY, MARTHA AND BOBBY,
My heart reaches across the country to each of you as I remember the wonderful times we all had at Milton, Dedham and the Cape. Toby and I loved your whole family and cheered each milestone. Your Mother was a pillar of strength, kindness and empathy. Please know that I would love visits from you whenever you feel like an adventure in Texas.
    With love and happy memories,
    Aubrey (Smith Carter)
