Foley, Robert C.

 

Robert C. Foley, a resident of Dedham, formerly of Jamaica Plain died on May 5, 2011 at the age of 78.  Born in Boston to the late Daniel J., Sr. and Dorothy M. (Meroth) Foley.  A graduate of Hyde Park High, Class of 1951.  Mr. Foley is a WWII veteran, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, #10, West Roxbury and the American Legion #76 in Jamaica Plain.  He was a great fan of football, liked to visit Vegas, a lover of irish music and a big animal rights supporter.   He is survived by his wife, Helen E. (Graves) Foley and his two daughters, Patricia Foley of Dedham and Kathleen McDermott of Holyoke.  He was predeceased by his brothers,  Eugene F., Daniel J., Jr. and Thomas J. Foley.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday, May 10 at 8AM from the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9AM at St. Anne’s Church, 82 W.Milton St., Readville.  Interment in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.  Visiting hours are on Monday, May 9 from 4 to 8PM.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be sent to the M.S.P.C.A., 350 South Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.

    Ew were sorry to hear of bobby’s passing. We spent many happy days with the foleys in green harbor. Our thoughts are with the family. From pompano bch fl.

    Patty,
    Maybe you are relieve that your dad is not suffering any more but you are also greiving that his presence is no longer around. No one to fuss with or boss around in that father daughter way. I remember the stories you would tell about him and the good times you had. Keep his memories within your heart always. Take one day at a time.
