Lloyd, William

William Monroe Lloyd, a resident of West Roxbury for over 70 years, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Rosscommon on the Parkway Nursing Home in West Roxbury.  He was 104.  William was born February 18, 1907 in Southshore, Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of Arthur M. and Martha (Pierce) Lloyd.  He worked as a technician for the Frigidaire company in Boston.  William is survived by his wife of 77 years, Freda T. (Dempsey) Lloyd; his daughter, Eleanor Walsh of West Roxbury; his two sons, Harvey M., and his wife Peggy, of Dedham, and Edwin W., and his wife Nancy, of Weymouth; as well as 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.  Visiting hours will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 9 to 11 AM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham followed by his funeral in the funeral home at 11 o clock.  Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.  Donations to Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 21 Stratford Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132 would be appreciated.
