Weaver, George V.

George Vincent Weaver, a resident of Panama City Beach, Florida, formerly of Dedham, died Friday October 28, 2011, at home after a long battle with cancer. He was 60. George was born in Middletown, New York. He was the son of the late Kenneth Weaver and the late Virginia M. (Shoulders) Petruski. George joined the Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the SU  H & S. Company Battalion 3rd Marine Division and received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. George was a self employed painter, worked in construction throughout his life and was a former member of the Moose Lodge #2145 in Dedham. He is survived by his loving wife of 7 years Denise Vitiello of Panama City Beach, FL and  formerly of Dedham: his beloved dogs Sammy and Rosco, his sisters Ruth Hoszko of FL and Vicky Bethony of Hyde Park, his brothers Tommy, Timmy, Donny, Douw and Ken Weaver all of New York. He is also survived by his father-in-law Frank Viteillo Sr. of Dedham; his sister-in-laws Darnell Thomas and Lisa Hargis, and brother in laws John, Nicky and Frany Vitiello. He was the brother of the late Robert Weaver and son-in-law of the late Helen Vitiello. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Thursday, November 3, 2011, from 4-7 pm at Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham, MA. A Graveside service will be held Friday at 1:15 pm at Bourne National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers donations in loving memory of George may be made to Fisher House, 509 Fisher Street, Keesle AFB, Biloxi, Mississippi, 39534-2599.

    Denise, I remember you came to me when first going out with George knowing he was sick. You made his years so happy. Imagine his life without you. There’s not much else I can say that will help but I hope you remember that. I’m always here for you.

    Denise we did get to enjoy the company of you and George when you moved to Panama City Beach, especially the holidays
