Stewart, Shirley J.
Shirley J. Stewart, a resident of Westwood for the past four years, and forlery of Belmont and Waltham, died Monday, May 7, 2012 at Highgate Manor in Dedham. She was 82. Shirley was born June 30, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the seven children of William H. and Anna Marie (Campbell) Stewart. She earned her nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston Campus. During the course of her career she did alcoholic counselling, worked at the Fernald School in Waltham, and worked at Metropolitan State Hospital from where she retired in 1995. Shirley leaves her beloved siblings, Diane “Honey” Stewart of Weymouth, Barry Stewart of Westwood, and the late Donald D., William R., Gerard, and Robert L. Stewart. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday at 11 AM at the Bigelow Chapel at Mount Auburn Cemetery, where she will be buried. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 would be appreciated.
