Johnson, Paul Victor

Paul Victor Johnson, formerly of Walpole, passed away at the Serenity Hill Nursing Home in Wrentham on August 10, 2012.  He was 81.  Mr. Johnson was born in Norwood, MA to Arthur and Victoria (Mattson) Johnson.  He was a veteran, serving in the United States Army during the Korean war.  He was a carpenter by profession, but also enjoyed his cabinet making as a hobby.  He enjoyed playing cribbage and was a very good bowler.  After retiring from carpentry he went on to do tax preparations.  During the 1960’s he worked at Bird & Son in Walpole.  He was a former member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood and B.P.O.E. of Norwood, # 1124.  Mr. Johnson is survived by his children, Paul A. Johnson, Jr. of Natick, Lawrence R. Johnson of Raynham and Judith A. Johnson of Rose Hill, NC.  He was the brother of David Johnson of Walpole, the late Elmer Johnson, Edward Johnson and Edna Deptula.  He is also survived by his former wife, Trudy E. Johnson of Natick,  5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 11AM at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St., Norwood.  Burial is private.  Visting hours will be on Monday from 7-9PM.  In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Johnson’s memory may be made to the MSPCA (also known as Angell Memorial Animal Hospital), 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
