Jacobs, Bessie
Bessie (Davis) Jacobs, a longtime resident of Dedham and of the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts. She was 84. Bessie was born June 29, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the four daughters of Mary and Peter Davis, immigrants from Greece. Bessie was the wife of the late George H. Jacobs, and the sister of the late Kleanthy, Olympia, and Alhenis. She is survived by her three sons; Harry Jacobs of Dedham, Peter Jacobs of Dedham, and Nicholas Jacobs, and his wife Paula, of Whitman, and her two grandchildren, Sarah and George Jacobs. Services and interment in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to the Children of the the Massachusetts Hospital School, 3 Randolph Street, Canton, MA 02021 (www.mhsf.us) would be appreciated.
