Greim, Warren F.

Warren Frederick Greim, a resident of Dedham since 1959, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Sunrise of Norwood Assisted Living Center.  He was 90.  Warren was born July 5, 1922 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Robert J. and Wilena F. (Love) Greim.  He served in the US Navy during World War Two as an electrician’s mate on the USS Charger and the USS Yorktown.  Warren worked as a busdriver for the MBTA for 30 years until his retirement in 1984.  He was a member of Carmen’s Union, a member of the Oddfellows Lodge #18 in Jamaica Plain, and an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Dedham where he and his late wife belonged to the Kupples Club.  He was the husband of the late Phyllis (Murdock) and the brother of the late Erna F. Robicheau.  Warren is survived by his three daughters, Lindsey A. Greim of Dedham, Kathleen S. Sullivan of Walpole, and Patricia Connolly of Bellingham; as well as his three granddaughters, Heather E. Hunt of Norwood, Danielle M. Hunt of North Attleboro, and Shannon P. Hunt of Arlington.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 3 to 7 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Warren’s funeral will be Friday, August 31st at 10 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Oakdale Square, Dedham, followed by burial with military honors in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 62 Cedar Street, Dedham, MA 02026 or to the Wounded Warriers Project, PO Box 7758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675 would be appreciated.

    I WAS THINKING OF DAD ALL DAY WAS JUST ABOUT TO EMAIL THE FAMILY I FELT AT PEACE ALL DAY, DIDNT KNOW Y. MY BUDDYS WAY OF LETTING ME KNOW HE WAS OKAY.     Our hearts reach out to Warren’s family as part of our extended family. We all feel the deep loss of our dear and fine “brother”. We cannot help but smile each time we think of him. The joy he brought into the lives of all he encountered will never be forgotten. Warren will be missed. He blessed us with three lovely neices and grandneices.We are proud to have been included in his family. Don & Grace Murdock
