I just learned yesterday of Carl’s passing from my friend Michelle Nay Willey. She had just read it and was sorry she didn’t know in time to go to the funeral. We knew Carl from his earlier days as a Dedham policeman and saw him often in Dedham Square. We lived in the area and were teenagers at the time. Carl would always stop and talk to us and seemed genuinely interested in our lives. We started calling him Uncle Carl. I moved out of state in 1982 and I don’t think I saw him after that. I want you to know that I remember him as a kind soft spoken guy who cared about others. To his friends and family- Michelle and I are sorry for your loss.
