Dalrymple, Matt J.

Matt J. Dalrymple, a resident of Dedham, died on January 3, 2014 after a brief illness.  He was born on January 13, 1965 in Norwood, MA.  He was the son of Shirley J. (Kiely) and the late Donald Dalrymple.  Matt was an avid sports fan.  He especially liked  the Bruins, was a NASCAR lover and liked to cook.  He is survived by his brother Mark Dalrymple and his wife Deborah of Roslindale,  his sister Michelle Cyr and her husband Kevin of Norton, his daughter Mattea M. Dalrymple of Medfield, and his nephew Jason and nieces Ann and Ashley Cyr.  He is also survived by his dear companion, Gail Gustafson of Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 11AM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St. in Dedham.  His burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 4 to 8PM.

    Matt and I grew up together, he was my closest cousin. I loved him very much. He always made me laugh when I needed it the most. We hadn’t seen each other for awhile but when we did it was as if we lost no time.My deepest sympathy to Aunt Shirley,Mark,Michelle and all the children.     I will always remember hanging out with Matt growing up as kids. Matt was my neighbor and a good friend for many years….although I haven’t seen Matt for a long time, I will ALWAYS remember him.RIP Matt…..
