Dominic Charles Laquidara, a resident of Dedham for over 50 years, and a very generous man who was devoted to his family, died  Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston.  He was 92.  Dominic was born November 28, 1921 in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the five children of Antonino and Carmela (Munifo) Laquidara, immigrants from Italy.  He graduated from Bentley College in Waltham and the New England School of Law in Boston.  Dominic served in the US Navy during World War Two.  He worked for 30 years as an auditor for the Federal Government.  Dominic enjoyed travelling and he loved cats, especially his beloved Chester.  Dominic was the husband of the late Emma Marie (Baranow) Laquidara and the brother of the late Frank Laquidara and the late Mary Daniels.  He is survived by his son, Karl J. Laquidara of Dedham; his daughter, Marie C. Laquidara of Dedham; his brother, Antonino Laquidara of Teaticket; and his sister, Evelyn Moore of Walpole.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, April 2nd from 6 to 9 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester.

    I worked with Dom at DCAA during the early 60’s. He was a wonderful man to work with. May he rest in peace. He’s in my prayers.

    My wife Nancy and I used to see Domenic quite frequently at McDonald’s in Dedham and we really enjoyed his company!!! He was always in a great mood and his smile was infectious!!! May he rest in peace……………
