Dalrymple, Frederick G.

Dalrymple, Fred

Frederick “Fred” G. Dalrymple passed away peacefully on June 17th 2014 at Norwood Hospital after battling a long illness. Fred was the loving son of Walter & Emily (Hancock) and grew up in East Dedham, MA.

Fred was the devoted husband of M. Jocelyn Campbell for 42 years and loving father to James P. MacDonald and his wife Linda, of Bridgewater, MA. He was the proud grandfather of William A. Stevenson of Orlando, FL and Shaila MacDonald of Taunton, MA and great grandfather of David Burden Jr.  He is also survived by his brother, Frank Dalrymple of Waltham and his sisters; Louise Tucker of Dedham, Donna Lee Ricci of Canton, Ginger Albright of Westwood, Marion Perry of Norwood and Janice Gonski of Wareham, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

At a young age Fred had to leave school to support his mother and family after his father had been killed in a terrible accident. He worked in the Auto body industry for most his life, working at Reidy Auto Body, Scotty’s & Parkway until his illness prevented him from working further.

He loved hunting and classic autos but, his true passion was riding his Harley Davidson Ultra-Glide Classic and spending time with his many friends at Laconia Bike Week.

Fred will be greatly missed by all and loved forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s memory may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th St., North West, Washington, D.C. 20006, Attn: Madison Schaffer.

A private memorial,” Celebration of Fred” will be held at a later date, please refer to lindamacdonald77@gmail.com for further information.
