Brousseau, Harold A.

Harold Arthur “Hap” Brousseau, a resident of Dedham for 54 years, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts.  He was 91.  Hap was born March 12, 1923 in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of Frank and Rose (DeViller) Brousseau.  He graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in Boston and was inducted into the US Army three years later.  Harold served in Battery C of the 463rd Anti- Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Northern France, the Rhineland, and Central Europe.  Hap worked as a maintenance mechanic for NRC, which became HD Stark, which became the Norton Company and finally the Bayer Corporation in Newton for thirty years until his retirement in 1989.  He enjoyed his trips to Maine, woodworking, and being a member of the BoSox Club.  Hap is survived by his wife, Edith Marian (Sias); his son, Ronald A. Brousseau of Dedham; his daughter, Cynthia L. Lambrecht, and her husband Paul, of Norwood; his brother, Bradley Brousseau of Florida; his sister, Barbara Pierce of Florida; his three grandchildren, Allison Webster of Norwood, Andrea Bremner of South Carolina, and Daniel Lambrecht of Norwood; and his four great grandchildren, Claire, Isabelle, Cole, and Jack.  He was the brother of the late Frank Pennor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday, July 26th at 10 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 62 Cedar Street, Dedham followed by burial in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 62 Cedar Street, Dedham, MA 02026 would be appreciated.

    We will all miss Hap very much. I’m so sorry my mother couldn’t make this trip up for his funeral but she can’t stand too long and the outside heat really bothers her. Otherwise we would have both been there.
