Paul Henry Bertocchi Sr., a resident of Reading, Massachusetts and formerly a longtime resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Dedham.  He was 82.  Paul was born February 3, 1932 in Boston, MA, one of the three children of Henry and Sadie (Tierney) Bertocchi.  He graduated from English High School in Boston and worked for many years as a union roofer.  More recently he worked as a security guard at the State Street Bank in Quincy for 15 years until his retirement in 1997.  Paul spent his retirement in Fort Lauderdale swimming, biking, golfing and enjoying the best years of his life.  Paul was the brother of the late Joan Lawlor.  He is survived by his son, Paul H. Jr., and his wife Stacey, of Reading; his grandchildren, Paulmichael, and Mary Bertocchi; and his brother, Ronald Bertocchi of South Boston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service Saturday, September 6th at 10:30 AM at the Chapel at St. Michael’s Crematory, 500 Canterbury Street, Roslindale, MA. (Go to www.stmichaelcemetery.com/contact.html for directions) In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of MA, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472 would be appreciated.
