Hanscom, Christine B.
Christine B. (Woodward) Hanscom, a long time resident of Norwood passed away on March 7, 2015 with her family by her side. She was 89. Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Seymour E. and Irma D. (Mueller) Woodward. Christine was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1943. She worked for many years at Liggett Rexall Pharmacy and then at Factory Mutual Insurance Company. She was member of the United Church in Norwood and the Women’s Auxiliary, Post 2452 Norwood. She enjoyed going to ceramics and playing bingo. Christine was wife of the late Elmer D. Hanscom, and was predeceased by her brother Seymour E. Woodward, Jr., and her daughter Betty Browne. She is survived by her daughter Janet D. Hanscom and son Timothy D. Hanscom, both of Norwood; her grandchildren, Felicia Trusevitch and her husband Craig of May, New Jersey and Brian Wooding of Wrentham; and her great granddaughters, Summer and Gabriella. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM with a funeral service at 7 PM at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St., Norwood. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations in Christine’s memory may be made to the Norwood Food Pantry, 150 Chapel St., Norwood, MA 02062.
