All of Jake’s friends in Troop 1 Islington are reeling from this loss. With help from a loving network, Jake achieved Eagle rank – scouting’s highest honor – which only 5% of scouts ever earn. Jake’s shining spirit and irrepressible smile were just some of the gifts he had, which allowed him to navigate the many challenges he faced in his far-too-short-a-Life. All those who loved him had hoped and prayed for Jake’s best days ahead. Sadly, we’ve lost him and all that potential he seemed to hold in his radiant smile. Now we pray for Jake’s peaceful rest – and for his friends, family and all those who loved and believed in him who are mourning this tragic loss.

Jacob, I will alway remember your free spirit and politeness. Your energy and playfulness will always be remembered. Thank you for always watching over Adam at all the scout activities.

I am now finding out about this 3.5 years after the fact. I am so distraught right now! I remember I used to babysit him and his older brother Wendell Jr. I haven’t talked to his mother Paula for several years. He was a bright kid, very curious about life. He used to have this puppy when he was very young, about 4-5 years old and he loved that pup. Jake, when you look down below, always remember your parents and brothers love you very much. This is too difficult, I’m sorry.
