Cardinale, Marcia

Marcia Cardinale passed away on August 21, 2015 at age 72 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born on April 8, 1943 to Louis and Jennie (Konica) Zigelis, in Lawrence, MA. Marcia attended North Andover High School where she played field hockey. She met James Cardinale while working at BF Goodrich. They married and subsequently settled in Dedham, MA. Together they raised seven children.  She worked for many years at Lechmere and for the Registry of Deeds in Dedham. She was a dedicated, beautiful, giving, loving, patient and forgiving mom and wife.  Her husband, children and grandchildren can attest to the great and wonderful things she did to make ordinary days extraordinary and holidays memorable. Marcia enjoyed solving crosswords puzzles , tending her garden, finding bargains, and was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, and horse racing. She was often seen around town as she preferred walking to get everywhere she was going no matter the weather.

She is survived by her husband James of Dedham,  her children; Marie of WA, Andrea of  WA, Claudia of WA State, Joseph of NV , Steven of Hopedale, MA and Marcia of Canton, MA. Sister of Sandra Yavuz of Istanbul, Turkey, daughter in-law Cathy of Dedham, MA and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son James Cardinale and her brother Andrew Zigelis.

At the family’s request there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215

    Dear Cardinale family,
    I wanted to share my deepest sympathy about the loss of your dear mom. She has always been so very nice to me while growing up in E.Dedham.
