Sullivan, Matthew P.

Sullivan, Michael

Matthew Paul Sullivan passed away on August 16, 2015 in Providence. He was 34 years old. Born at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, the son of Francis P. and Ann Marie (Spada) Sullivan, Matt was raised in the Oakdale section of Dedham. Growing up, he enjoyed playing basketball and video games. Matt also watched countless hours of movies (his favorites were From Dusk ‘Til Dawn and Rocky IV) and wrestling.

An avid music and sports fan, especially of the Red Sox and Patriots, Matt worked various jobs after high school before eventually relocating to Pawtucket, R.I. He’s remembered fondly for his boundless energy, his spot-on impersonations and his unpredictable yet brilliant sense of humor.

Matt is survived by his beloved daughter, Staley, of Pawtucket; his parents, his brother, Jeffrey, and his wife Danielle of Arlington, Texas, his sister, Lisa, and her husband Mitchell of Bridgewater; nephews Quinn and Drew, and niece Myah, also of Bridgewater. He’s also survived by numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend his wake from 4-6 p.m., followed by a brief service, on Friday, August 28 at Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham.
