Sanford, Lorraine

Lorraine Marie (Sullivan) Sanford, a longtime resident of Westwood, died Thursday, November 12th at her home in Westwood. She was 82.  Lorraine was born November 7, 1933 in Dedham, Massachusetts, one of the four daughters of Daniel M. and Winifred (Ballam) Sullivan.  She graduated from Dedham High School and worked for several years as a secretary for the Boston Edison Company.  Lorraine was the wife of the late Herbert R. Sr and the sister of the late Claire Roberts.  She is survived by her three sons, Herbert R. Jr., and his wife Trina, of Attleboro, Daniel, and his wife Alpha, of Hingham, and Douglas, and his wife Molly, of Arlington; her five grandchildren, Jonathan, Heather, Tala, Peter, and Vivian; her two sisters, Marilyn McDonald of Dedham, and Martha Donovan of Norfolk; and her step-mother, Martha (Weber) Sullivan; as well as many adored nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 would be appreciated.

    To the Sanford Family,

    I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I have so many fond memories that make me smile when I think of her. She was a wonderful lady and I am very happy that I had the chance to know her. Mary Kay and I are there for you if you ever need us for anything at any time.
