King, Dolores M.

Dolores Marie (Anastos) King, a resident of West Roxbury for 50 years, and formerly of Jamaica Plain, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Briarwood Healthcare Center in Needham.  She was 85.  Dolores was born May 14, 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts, the younger daughter of Joseph and Hattie Louisa (Bartlet) Anastos.  She graduated from Jamaica Plain High School with the Class of 1948.  Dolores worked for 15 years at Farrington Manufacturing Company in Boston and then worked at Monroe Stationers for 20 years until her retirement in 1997.  She was the wife of the late Robert Francis King and the sister of the late Louise May Lomas.  Visiting hours wil be held Sunday, Noember 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday, November 30th at Noon at the funeral home.  The Reverend Ashlee Weist-Laird, Pastor of the Jamaica Plain Baptist Church, where Dolores was a longtime member, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Baptist Church of Jamaica Plain, 633 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 would be appreciated.
