Pauline (Zyza) Kreutel, a resident of Dedham for 68 years, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Highgate Manor Nursing Home in Dedham.  She was 96.  Pauline was born February 9, 1919 in Springfield, Massachusetts, one of the six children of Joseph and Victoria Zyza, immigrants from Poland.  She grew up in Proctor, Vermont and graduated from the Proctor High School.  Pauline worked for many years as a clerk for Capitol Supermarket in Dedham.  She was a member of the Dedham Senior Citizens, and she enjoyed reading and sports.  Pauline was the wife of the late Charles Harold Kreutel who predeceased her in 2001, and the sister of the late John, Stanley, and Paul Zyza, Sophie Klebeck, and Agnes Smyrski.  She is survived by her son, Robert J. Kreutel of Manchester, Connecticut, Ellen L. Burns, and her husband Maurice, if Dedham; her two grandchildren, Meghan DiBella, and her husband Anthony, of Franklin, and Timothy Burns, and Lilah Clougherty of Foxboro; and her three great grandchildren, Emily, A.J., and Luke.  She is also survived by her nieces, Patty Smyrski, Carol Donnelly, and many other nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 18th from 4-8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home starting at 8 am Saturday, December 19th and proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham for her Mass of Christian Burial t 9 o clock.  Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Proctor , Vermont.  In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

    Ellen,
    So sorry for your loss. I know how close you and your Mom were. You always were so thoughtful and inclusive toward her, including her help at the craft fairs and the many cups of afternoon coffee you would bring her. These memories will remain with you.
