We are so sorry to hear of Effie’ s passing. Our mom, Alice Carabitses who passed away in August of 2015, was a long time friend going back to their early days beginning in Manchester, NH and continuing when they both married and moved to Jamaica Plain and Roslindale .
We remember Effie’s parties at her home and visiting her on the holidays. My mom and I visited her at the nursing home, and Effie did recognize my mom. I think deep down she knew who my mom was, which was nice.
    May her memory be eternal.
