Laskey, Virginia

laskey-virginia09072016

Virginia A. (Stewart) Laskey, a long time resident of West Roxbury, passed away at the Faulkner Hospital on Monday, September 5th, 2016, at the age of 94. Virginia was a faithful and active member of the Bethany Methodist United Church in Roslindale.  Virginia would love to get involved in a good book but could always find time to watch her favorite TV show, Judge Judy.  One of Virginia’s favorite things to do was to take a road trip up to Maine with her husband Mike.  Virginia was the wife of the late Maurice Laskey and dear sister of the late A. Anita Noris. She also leaves behind her companion Tina, her loving dachshund. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 9-11am at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Ave, Roslindale. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday at 11am at the funeral home followed by burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.

My deepest condolences to the Laskey family. Virginia was always so sweet and pleasant.
I remember talking to Virginia and Anita about little Tina. She [Tina] was such a joy to them both.
May Virginia rest in sweetest peace.

Virginia was my great Aunt and my mother’s aunt. They were one year apart and they telephoned each other frequently. My mother as well as myself are so sad that we did not know our aunt had died. I used to spend time in the summer with her and my grandmother. We loved her very much. We are still in shock and very sad. Thank you everyone for your lovely comments.
