(Gourley) Flagg.  He attended Northeastern University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors in 1968.  He was one again called into active duty to serve his country in the United States Air Force in 1948 during the Korean War.  After four more years of active service, he was once again honorably discharged in 1953 at the rank of 1st Lieutenant.  He remained in the Air Force Reserves until his retirement on November 7, 1985 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  George was known for putting the interests of others before his own.  His friends and family will remember him as having a quick wit, a great sense of humor, a collector of all things, and frequently ending phone conversations with “over and out.” George was an avid reader and loved a good military history book.  He also was a long time member of the Civil Air Patrol.  George was the dear husband of the late Alice M (Gourley), and loving father of David B. of FL, Douglas B. and wife Debra A. of NC, Sandra Goulet of ME, and former son-in-law Marc Goulet of RI.  Dear grandfather of Eric M. Goulet and wife Xandra, Alyssa M Goulet, Brendon T. Goulet and wife Hannah, Amanda M. Flagg, Kayla M. Kimbrell and husband Randall “Jeffrey”, Nicole E. Flagg and fiancée Zackary Graves.  Great Grandfather to Conner Kimbrell, Emmett Beasley, Eve Goulet, Robert Goulet, and Marc Goulet. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and his long time companion, Martha Schleiff.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial service for George on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00AM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham, MA 02026.  Interment will be held at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham, on a date to be announced.
