Amaral, Joao J.
Joao J. Amaral, a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away on April 24, 2017 at the age of 88. Born in Azores, Portugal, the son of Jose J. and Albertina A. (Avila) Amaral. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Candida (Serpa) Amaral and the loving father of Joseph Amaral and his wife Mary of Stoughton and John Amaral and his wife Cheri of Middleboro. He is also survived by his brother Rogerio Amaral of Azores, Portual. He was the devoted grandfather of Bobby J., Alyssa M., Stephanie M. and Caylin P. Amaral.
Visitation for Mr. Amaral was on April 27, 2017 from 5-to 8PM at the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton. His Mass of Christian Burial was April 28, 2017 at 10 o’clock at the Immaculate Conception Church located at 122 Canton St. in Stoughton and was followed by interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery also in Stoughton.
