Giannacopoulos, John P.
John Peter Giannacopoulos, a resident of West Roxbury, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton. He was 90. Jon was born November 20, 1927 in Vassara Greece, a son ofPeter and Emily (Stavropoulos) Giannacopoulos. He was a retired fork lift operator for the Peter Kandakis Company. John was the husband of the late Irene (Dimakopoulos) Giannacopoulos, and the brother of the late George Giannacopoulos and the late Sotiria Giannacopoulos. He is survived by his two sons, Peter Giannacopoulos, and his wife Melissa, of Dedham, and Christos Giannacopoulos of West Roxbury; as well as his two grandchildren, Irene and Alexander. Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 12th from 5 to 8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home starting at 9 am on Saturday, January 13th and proceed with us to St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church for his funeral service at 10 o clock. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale, MA 02131 would be appreciated.
