JEAN W. BUCK (90 yrs.) died peacefully on May 27, 2018. He was an active member of the Norwood community for over 60 years. He was instrumental in the creation of the Ecumenical Community Food Pantry; and he and his wife Edith (Chickie) devoted many hours to the Parents Music Association. They were members of The United Church of Norwood and subsequently, the First Baptist Church of Norwood.
Jean was a veteran of WWII, proudly serving in the United States Navy.
Jean was predeceased by his wife Edith, in 2016 and by 2 sisters, Jean Louise Mattie and Mildred Wishart; and by a brother Lucien Buck. He leaves his sister Elizabeth Seales, his children Lorraine Giagiari, Alison Lovett, Warren Buck and Carolyn Buck, as well as 6 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Folsom & May Funeral Home at 85 Nichols St. in Norwood, MA, on June 8, 2018 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
