Patricia J. Hurley, 78, of Foxboro, formerly of Dedham, passed away on October 9, 2018 surrounded by her family. Born on April 12, 1940, in Gloucester, MA, Pat is the daughter of Ursula Sonia Mitchell of Gloucester and the late D. Albert Mitchell. After graduating St. Ann’s High School, Pat was employed by Prudential Insurance where she met the late James M. Hurley, and they married in 1959. Pat was an executive assistant at Martin Braver and Company in Newton. She retired in 2010 . Pat was happiest when she was in the kitchen, cooking delicious recipes and holiday feasts for her large extended family, or taking care of the family dog, Sylvia. Pat was the loving mother to Karen Hurley of Methuen, Maureen Hurley and her wife Mary Anne O’Hara of Dedham, and Kimberley Hurley, of Trumbull, CT. Pat was predeceased by her daughter Carolyn “Lynn” Hurley Neill of Lowell, and son James M. Hurley, Jr., of Dedham. She leaves brothers D. Albert “Albie”, Paul and Robert Mitchell and their families, of Gloucester. She was the loving Nana to David, Jr., Matthew and his wife Michelle, and Katherine Olsen; Carolyn Neill; Kelsey and Laurie Cusack; Elizabeth O’Hara Hurley and Tristan Morton. She was the proud great-grandmother of Hailey, Madison and Riley. She also leaves many friends and extended family. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 12, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 420 High Street, Dedham. Burial will be private.
