Dianne Marie (Ziergiebel) Arena, a longtime resident of Westwood, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a long illness. She was 74. Dianne was born March 1, 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Carl Albert Jr. and Rose Marie (Connolly) Ziergiebel. She grew up in Westwood and graduated from Westwood High School with the Class of 1963. Dianne was a longtime employee providing clerical services to the Gillette Corporation in their Boston office. She is survived by two brothers, John J. Ziergiebel of North Attleboro and James M. Ziergiebel of Westwood, and a sister, Margaret Borax of Uxbridge. She was the sister of the late Carl A. Ziergiebel III. Visitation will be held Friday, October 11th, 2019 from 10 to 11 am prior to a funeral service at 11 am at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Winter Street in Norwood. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Jimmy Fund would be appreciated.
