Dixon, Dennis

Dennis J. Dixon, of Dedham, April 25, 2020, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family early Saturday morning.  He was the beloved husband of Holly A. (Hagan), loving father of Allyson Dixon of Dedham and Travis Dixon and his wife Jackie of Walpole.  Also survived by his siblings, Richard Dixon of Florida, Marjorie Ann Good of North Carolina along with nieces nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Dean Dixon.  Dennis was a Vietnam veteran, 7 time marathon runner, rode his bicycle thousands of miles, was always making people laugh, and most importantly was a loving father and devoted husband.  Due to the current circumstances, funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dennis’ name may be made to  Home Base, c/o Mass General Development Office, 125 Nashua St., Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101 or  www.HomeBase.org to support veterans.

    The end of a long and painful journey that unfortunately Dennis and all of you had to endure. I know that he felt your love in his heart as demonstrated by all of your care and devotion to him.

    Holly, Allyson and Travis, I and Andrew, Rebekah and Rachel are thinking of you and your family at this time. Dennis was a great person and I had some good laughs with him. i would wave to him when I saw him running and he would wave back. This has been a long journey both for all of you and for him. I will tell you again I stand in great awe of all your caring for Dennis and the strength and courage it required to endure. You all are an Amazing Family connected with love.     Holly and family I am so sorry to hear about Dennis. He was a great person , very professional in anything he did took on many challenges and loved his family,who have been so devoted to him and took great care of him he was a great friend . Dennis was a good soldier and did the job they asked him to do ! He was a great radiographer and greet at his job . Once again I am deeply sorry for you’re loss my prayers are with all of you
