Laquidara, Marie C.
Marie C. Laquidara, a resident of Dedham, died Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her home in Dedham unexpectedly. She was 67. Marie was born January 7, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts, the only daughter of Dominic Charles and Emma Marie (Baranow) Laquidara. She graduated from Jeanne d’Arc Academy in Milton before earning her Bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and her Master’s degree from Tufts. Marie was a psychologist who worked in outpatient psychiatric services. She volunteered at a battered women’s shelter and at Children’s Hospital in Boston. Marie enjoyed reading mystery novels, growing plants, and she always had a cat. She is survived by her brother, Karl J. Laquidara of Dedham. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, June 23 from 3 to 5 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday, June 24th at 10 am at the funeral home followed by interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester. In lieu of flowers donations in Marie’s memory to any charity that benefits animals would be appreciated.
