Ann was a joy to be around. Perpetually positive, she was a beloved sister to Lenny, a happy gardener and mentor to me through the Master Gardening program and friend at Allin Church. She was an active and knowledgeable volunteer. We will miss her straightforward manner and moral strength.

Ann was a good friend of mine, as was her brother Lenny, and will remember her as a helping, happy and positive person. She liked to stay active in many activities and was always willing to help others when needed.

She will be missed by many.

    RIP

Ann was an amazing person inside & out. I lived next to her on Vogel St. I have such amazing fond memories of her & Lenny! I remember as a younger kid when she went away I always took in her mail & took care of the cats! She loved taking care of her yard & garden with such pride & absolutely loved her beloved Red Sox! She will be sorely missed by all! I apologize for not being able to pay my respects because I had to work, may she rest in the sweetest peace!

I became friends with Ann through the Evening Garden Club of West Roxbury. For 20 years she loved to talk about plants and how to improve her gardens on Vogel Street. She was funny, honest and lovely. We always had fun on our trips to other gardens. RIP my friend.

Ann to me was “Silkie: and a very special person. I met Silkie at Camp Matoaka where we became very close friends which lasted for years. The last time we connected she was helping with the Rose Kennedy Garden. One of my favorite memories of Silkie is when we drove from Camp in Oakland Maine to Martha’s Vineyard to a sailing camp where Silkie had a friend. We did all this in one day since we had to be back at camp from our one day off. We even stopped at her parents home in Hyde Park for a few hours of sleep. We laughed so hard and sang every song we could remember. She was one of the best friends I ever had!
