Anna (DelMonaco) Massimi, born September 14th, 1935, passed on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025. She was born in Sulmona, Italy. Her family moved to Pacentro during WWII and remained there until emigrating to the United States in early 1948. She lived in Boston until 1970 when she and her husband Mario purchased their home in Dedham where she resided until her final years which were spent at Notre Dame Long Term Care in Worcester. She was predeceased by her loving husband Mario C. Massimi, along with her parents Michaelangelo and Angela (Cercone) DelMonaco, as well as her siblings Mario Delmonaco and Maria DiLalla. She leaves behind her children Giovanni (John) of Westwood, Richard (and Laura) Massimi of LaVerne, CA, Rosanna Massimi (and partner Paul Halton) of Sherwsbury. Anna also leaves her 11 grandchildren Mario, Richie, Mark, Nicole, Erin, Kayla, Elizabeth, Christopher, Anthony, Craig, and Cristianna. She had 15 great grandchildren. She was an active member of the Italian-American community of which she maintained many life-long friendships . Anna was a talented seamstress, crocheter, and cook. She was a dedicated member of the Daughters of Italy, the St. Mary's parish and the Dedham Senior Center. Over the years Anna held jobs in and around Dedham most notably at Rustcraft Greeting Cards, Jet Spray, and Stop & Shop. Her visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 27th, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home starting at 8:45 am the next morning and proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham, for her funeral mass at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale.
