Audrey Ethel Olsen

Audrey Ethel (Sawyer) Olsen a resident of Brockton, and formerly of Canton, Stoughton, and Norwood, died Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home in Norwood.  She was 96.  Audrey was born February 24, 1930 in Canton, Massachusetts, the only daughter of Nathaniel and Audrey Sawyer.  After high school Audrey trained at at the Brockton Hospital to become a registered nurse.  For many years she worked in the Emergency Room at the Norwood Hospital and later in the office of Dr. Lydon. Audrey was the former wife of Anthony Yelapi Sr, and the widow of the late Paul Olsen.  She was the sister of the late Clifton Sawyer.  Audrey is survived by her daughter, Debra F. Sheehan, and her husband Mark, of Norwood; her two sons, Kevin Yelapi, and his partner Chris, of Bourne, and Anthony W. Yelapi, and his wife Laurie, of Brockton; as well as her 5 grandchildren and her 9 great grandchildren.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17th from 11 to noon at the Folsom & May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St, Norwood followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home at noon.  Interment will be private.
