Eleanor Mansen

Eleanor (Parkinson) Mansen, a resident of Hyde Park since 1963, and formerly a longtime resident of Norwood, died Friday, August 6th, 2010 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood.  She was 73.  Eleanor was born August 9, 1936 in Norwood, a daughter of Frederick and Kathryn (Forbes) Parkinson.  She graduated from Norwood High School with the Class of 1954 and worked for 6 years in inventory control at the J. Baker Company in Hyde Park.  Eleanor is survived by her husband, Kenneth Roger Mansen; her son,  Kenneth R. Jr of Hyde Park; her two daughters, Kristen Lee Sweeney, and her husband Leo, of Dedham, and Kaaren Beth Mansen of Walpole; and her two grandchildren, Marisa Mansen and Brian Sweeney.  Visitation with her family will be held Tuesday, August 10th from 5 to 8 PM at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols Street, Norwood with a funeral service at 7:30 PM.  Private interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
