Ellen Gyftopoulos Sdrollas

Ellen (Triantafyllos) Gyftopoulos Sdrollas, 70, of West Roxbury and Dedham passed away peacefully with family by her side on June 16th after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was blessed to have her son, Constantino, by her side as her caretaker for the duration of her illness. Ellen was born on January 9, 1956 in Boston, Massachusetts to Terry Triantafyllos and Mary (Koskoris) Triantafyllos and grew up in Mattapan. She was a graduate of UMass Boston with a degree in Physical Education and Dance. She had a sharp wit and was always eager for spirited conversations with friends and family.

More than anything, Ellen loved her family. She leaves behind her children Maria and her former husband José, Magdalena and her husband Alexander, and Constantino as well as four grandchildren: Peter and Anthony; and Ioanna and Eleftheria. She is also survived by her sister Demetra and her husband Andrew and their four children, Alexandra, Nicholas, Stephanie, and Victoria, as well as her niece and nephew Marielle and Terrance, children of her late sister Sophia and Kenneth.

The funeral will take place at the gravesite at Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham at 11 o’clock am on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
