Francis Mario Tortora

Frank M. Tortora, a longtime resident of Roslindale, died Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at the Sherrill House in Jamaica Plain, after a long illness.  He was 80.  Frank was born June 16, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Julio and Doris May (Ferreira) Tortora.  He graduated from Hyde Park High School; earned his Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University in Boston; and earned his Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Chicago. Frank worked in Research and Teaching at Northeastern University and spent his latter years as a Real Estate Investor. Frank was the brother of the late Leonard Tortora and the late Mary Tortora.  He is survived by his sister Elaine Brigman of Roslindale, and John Tortora of Westford.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday October 10th, 2026 at 11 am at St. John Chrysostom Church, 4750 Washington Street, West Roxbury at 11 am.  A reception will be held in the Church Hall after the Mass , followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations to the Parkinson's Disease Association, 72 East Concord Street, Unit C3, Boston, MA 02118 would be appreciated.
