James C. Chetwynd

James Christopher Chetwynd, a longtime resident of Westwood, died Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at his home in Westwood. He was 75. James was born August 24, 1950 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of James W. and Regina M. (Currie) Chetwynd. James earned his Bachelor's degree at Boston College and his Master's degree at Framingham State College and worked as an English teacher at Reading High School 30+ years. He was also very active in Scouts, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Kelly) Chetwynd, his son, Alexander Chetwynd and wife Jenn, of Worcester, and his daughter, Eve Chetwynd and fiance Jay, of CT, and loving stepfather of Todd and wife Madeline, Gwen and her partner Kraig, and Matt Anderson. Brother of Michael Chetwynd, Jane Wilson and her husband Danny, and the late Regina Bergeron and her husband Tommy. Beloved grandfather of Arielle, Hayden, Christian, Jack, Ella, Jacey, Bryn, Tori, and Devin.

Visitation for James will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2-5PM, at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High St, Westwood, MA 02090. Services and interment will be private.
