Joan M. (Langlois) Flynn, 95, of Westwood, passed away peacefully on March 1, surrounded by loved ones. Known for her love of travel and devotion to family, Joan shared a lifetime of adventures with her late husband, Robert H. “Bo” Flynn. A respected professional in the travel industry, Joan owned and operated Travel Marketplace of Weymouth for many years. She inspired others to see the world, discover new places and follow their dreams. She exemplified dedication and balance, showing her children and grandchildren that it is possible to cultivate both a thriving family life and a successful career.
She is survived by her children: Judith Flynn and her partner David Kelley of Mason Neck, VA; Pamela Flynn‑Chubet and her husband Mark Chubet of Norwood; Carol Flynn‑Rice and her husband Peter Rice of Dorchester; Peter Flynn and his wife Robin of Myrtle Beach, SC; Susan McDonald and her husband Joseph of Westwood; and Paul Flynn of Boracay Island, Philippines. She was predeceased by her brother, Jack Langlois.She was the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren: Carly Wysoczanski, Sarah Chubet, Anna Rice, Brooke Rice, Casey Flynn; Margaret Lynch, Dylan Flynn; Madeline McMaster, Jacqueline McDonald, Samantha McDonald, and Katherine Thorpe and leaves behind seven adored great‑grandchildren. Each of them carries forward her legacy of curiosity, kindness, and love for family.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High St, Westwood. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2026 starting at 9 AM, and proceed with us to St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St, (Rt 1A) Islington for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow at New Westwood Cemetery.
