Josephine Mcwhirk

Josephine V. (Peterson) McWhirk, a resident of West Roxbury for the past 35 years, but a “Southie” girl at heart, died Saturday, November 22nd, 2008 at Avery Manor Nursing Home in Needham after a long illness.  She was 90.  Josephine was the wife of the late Robert E. McWhirk and the mother of the late Joanne M. McWhirk.  She is survived by her son, Robert E. McWhirk of Dedham, 2 grandsons, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Visititation with her family will be held from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham followed by her funeral service in the funeral home at 11 o clock.  Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Friends of the Dedham Public Library, 43 Church Street, Dedham, MA 02026 would be appreciated.
