Judith Marie McConnell

Judith Marie (Smith) McConnell, a resident of Rockland, Massachusetts passed away Tuesday, August 26 in Brockton, Massachusetts. She was 87 years old. Judy was born April 7th, 1938 in Newton, Massachusetts the daughter of Elwood S. and Helen M. (Ryder) Smith. Judy graduated from Westwood High School. During her life, she enjoyed caring for her family and she became a stay-at-home mother for her children. She valued her relationship with her church, attending First Parish Church in Westwood. Judy is predeceased by her son, Scott McConnell and her brother, Robert S. Smith. Judith is survived by her daughter Jan McConnell of Braintree, and her grandchildren, Ryan D. McConnell and his wife Elena. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, October 4th from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a funeral service at 10:30 at the Folsom Funeral Home at 649 High Street, Westwood, MA 02090. Interment will follow at the New Westwood Cemetery, on High Street in Westwood. Donations to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114 would be appreciated.
