Of Dedham, Massachusetts, after a long and courageous battle with cardiac failure, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 16, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, on November 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Darrell G. and Margaret F. (Foor) Miller. Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marcia J. (Wysocki) Miller; his son, Gregory B. (Carolyn) Miller, of Dedham; his twin sister, Karin L. Taylor (Michael) of Walpole; and, his brother, Rodger (Patricia) Miller, of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the cherished “Poppy” to four grandsons: Travis J. Miller, Colbey B. Miller, Austen M. Miller, and Hunter L. Miller. Also survived by his mother-in-law, Arlene Wysocki, of Quincy; his sister-in-law, Karen Stapleton (Dennis), of Quincy; his brother-in-law, Michael (Cynthia) Wysocki, of Holbrook; as well as nieces Alyson Taylor, Eileen Damerow, and Kristen Desaulnier; nephews Adam Miller, Ian Miller, and Bryan Wysocki, and their respective spouses, partners, and families.
Kevin graduated from Huntington Prep; received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University (where he rowed for the crew team); and earned his Masters Degree from the Pennsylvania State University. He worked as a guidance counselor at Hampshire Regional High School in Easthampton for several years before relocating back to Eastern Massachusetts as a guidance counselor and Director of the Co-Op Program at the Minuteman Career and Technical High School in Lexington. He eventually took on and retired from the position of Director of Guidance.
His hobbies included, but were not limited to, woodworking, fresh and salt water fishing, family vacations at Cape Cod, and golf. His grandsons came to rely on their Poppy tp fix and repair any of their broken toys. So much so that they gifted him with a sweatshirt that stated “Poppy Can Fix It”.
Thoughtful and generous to his friends and family, Kevin will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
