Laurence “Larry” Davis

Laurence “Larry” Miller Davis, a long time resident of Norwood and a lifelong resident of Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA following a brief illness. He was 70 years old.  Born in 1947 and raised in Acton, Massachusetts, he was the the son of Charles and Freda (Clogston) Davis.  After graduating from Acton-Boxboro Regional High School, Larry attended Lowell Technical Institute, and then began a lifelong career with Raytheon Company, from which he retired in 2015.   He was  also an avid Red Sox fan and a loyal parishioner at Calvary Baptist Church in Dedham, MA.   Laurence leaves behind a sister Paula Davis, of West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, and a brother, John R. Davis, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, and is survived and loved by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Folsom & May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St., Norwood, MA, with a service at the funeral home at 8PM.  Interment will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 104 concord rd, Acton, MA 01720
